Chunks of tender beefiness tossed with thick egg noodles in beef gravy. My Mom's old fashioned Beefiness & Noodles is pure comfort nutrient, my friends!

This recipe for Beef & Noodles is 1 of those recipes that I hold close to my eye.  Information technology was one of my MOST favorite meals as a child growing up.

To me, this meal but screams Condolement!  Thick egg noodles, engulfed in a flavorful gravy made from simmering the beef, onions, celery, in the beef stock.

I loved when I asked my mom, "What's for dinner?" and she answered "Beef & Noodles!"  It was e'er one of my virtually favorite meals.

After she answered, the worst role was waiting for it to be time to consume!

I first posted this recipe in May of 2014, and once I decided to add together the recipe video,  I decided information technology needed a little "facelift" and to be re-shared.

Even more then now that I am completely OBSESSED with making my own egg noodles. Another thing I loved to do when I was growing upwardly.

So, when I re-made this recipe recently I used them, and information technology was a total game-changer.

I hateful … just LOOK!!

At present don't let the whole homemade noodle thing intimidate y'all.  This meal is perfectly fine with the frozen egg noodles or the dry out ones, too.

Beef & Noodles Crock Pot - An Affair from the Heart

Ingredients in Beef & Noodles:

  • Egg Noodles
  • Beef Stew Meat
  • celery
  • onion
  • beef stock
  • cornstarch
  • salt & pepper

Add together the chunks of beefiness, onions, and celery into a big pot on the stove.

Add together the stock, salt and pepper information technology, and cover it and allow it simmer until the vegetables and meat are tender.

I add together a little cornstarch/water mixture to thicken up the gravy.  And then toss in the noodles.

Alternatively, you could dredge the beef tips in flour, common salt, and pepper, and chocolate-brown it in a scrap of oil.

I just ever omit that role – information technology goes faster this mode, and I go to eat it sooner!

Although I typically make this on the stove, you lot can do all of the prep with your crockpot if you lot desire.  I accept washed it both ways.

For the crockpot, y'all merely put the meat, onions and celery and stock in the boring cooker and allow it go on depression all day. Thicken the gravy when you get domicile and add in the noodles.

Either mode — you have to endeavour it!

Ingredients

  • three pounds beefiness stew meat
  • ii - 14 ounce cans beef stock
  • two one/two cups celery, diced
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup corn starch dissolved in one/four water
  • 2 - 12 ounce packages of Reames Frozen Home style Egg Noodles

Instructions

  1. To a pan over medium oestrus add beef, beefiness stock, celery, and onion. Generously salt and pepper.
  2. Cover and simmer for about an hour, until meat and veggies are tender. Stirring occasionally.
  3. While meat cooks, prepare your egg noodles per the packet instructions. Or make your own homemade egg noodles.
  4. When the meat is tender, add corn starch/h2o mixture and stir, the sauce will thicken in but a few minutes.
  5. Bleed and add the noodles, combine with meat mixture.
  6. I dear mine just like information technology is, but my married man tops it with sour cream!

Notes

**Annotation If y'all are wanting to make this in your crock pot, simply melt the meat, broth, onions celery on low all twenty-four hour period. Finish it up with your noodles when you're gear up to eat. Thicken every bit necessary.
